The Sims 3 World Adventures Expansion Pack

The Sims is well known for their expansion packs for their games. I’m one of those Sim-lovers that usually buys most of the expansion packs too. It is one of my favorite games of all-time so why not play it to the full potential?

If you haven’t already checked out my review of The Sims 3, read that before reading this. If you want the World Adventures portion of the game you’d have to buy The Sims 3 (regular version) anyways.

Since my last review, I’ve been playing with my Sim regularly. She has written over 100 books, had fun with Robert Pattinson, learned how to fish, mastered the guitar, threw a few parties, collected rocks, gemstones, butterflies and even found rare seeds on the ground that she planted in her garden. Oh yeah, and she found out that the gnomes move around and are little tricksters.

Her most important thing though is that she bought a house, sold it and then built her own from the ground up. Pretty impressive huh? It took me quite awhile to get everything where I wanted in it and I’m not quite sure how it downloads, so once I figure that out and finish it up completely, I will link to it and let you download that too.

The Sims 3 exchange and store is so much more advanced than prior versions of The Sims. I’ve been downloading some store content and even some of the exchange items (how I found the Robert Pattinson Sim). They offer free items for holidays and other special occasions, such as the 10 year anniversary of The Sims.

You can even download me to be a part of your town if you’d like. How cool is that? If you have a Sim of yourself, upload it and I’ll download you to be a part of my town too.

My Sim really needed a vacation after all of her hard work writing novels, so she was really excited to be able to go on adventures with The Sims 3: World Adventures. She booked her vacations to China, Egypt and France right away.

The biggest change in this expansion pack as opposed to other Sims expansion packs is that you can actually do little quests and adventures in the countries. You get Visa Points and treasures from exploring the country and doing the challenges (or adventures) you’re asked to do. It ranges from collecting gems, talking to someone, convincing locals of something and exploring tombs. The best was when a mummy chased after me in Egypt and then I ran into a trap and was set on fire.

A very cool new feature is that you can learn the skill of photography and take more interesting pictures (that camera phone on the Sim’s phone was just not cutting it).

In Egypt you get to charm snakes. In China, you can bake fortune cookies and learn the art of martial arts. In France you can buy a Nectar maker and make “nectar” it is really wine – or at least my Sim thinks so.

In my opinion, this is the best expansion pack that has yet to be offered for any of The Sims games. It offers so much content and the experience to really travel to places (well, your Sim) and do challenges and then take home items from each country to decorate their house with. I loved it and can’t wait to see what future expansions to The Sims 3 will be.

Oooooh I haven't bought the expansion pack yet.. I will soon though! At first, I wasn't really interested because the locations, except for Egypt, doesn't sound that much fun but I think I'll give it a try now ^___^
