Yesterday Patrick Swayze died of cancer. So, today besides doing some chores around the house I am also watching Dirty Dancing in memory of him.Dirty Dancing was one of my favorite movies growing up. I didn’t really know/understand much of it at first most likely, I just liked the dancing part. It is however, still one of my favorite movies.

I thought ghost was even better! He was great opposite Whoopi.... What a loss. And it is so sad that he didn't get any big feature film roles after the two of them.

Indeed. I luv'd him, and, I luv'd Dirty Dancing. I was upset when I heard the horrible news. I was truly praying that he would beat the odds. :o(
It is so sad. I loved him. He was not someone you can call a cutie, he was much too chiseled in his features for that, but he was a sweetie! I love Dirty Dancing and Ghost the most of any of his work. But I also love a movie not many people love or have bothered to see, To Wong Foo Thanks For Everyhting Julie Newmar. It is hilarious. He and Wesley Snipes are very ugly women...John Leguizamo is a hot woman...scary. People should go and see it, it is fun!
My uncle died of pancreatic cancer, but I just never thought it would get Patrick. But as my Mom pointed out, almost no one can survive pancreatic cancer.
Dirty Dancing is such a classic, I'm going to watch it at the weekend!

This is a terrible loss, for his wife-first, then for his extended family and friends, then for Hollywood. He was a great actor and now cancer took his life. Well, life is short and the unexpected does happen!
