Fiber One Nutty Clusters & Almonds Giveaway

Cereal is one of my favorite breakfast foods. It is fast, affordable, and usually quite nutritious. Thanks to MyBlogSpark I was able to get the new Fiber One Nutty Clusters & Almonds for my family to try out.

Unfortunately I couldn’t eat it (it isn’t gluten-free), but they sure enjoyed it! My dad said it is his favorite cereal now and wants this again in the future. For someone who usually sticks to his Cherrios, this is quite a statement.

As stated by Fiber One, it contains 11 grams of fiber (43% of the Daily Value), 23 grams of whole grain (at least 48 recommended daily), and 180 calories per serving. It is also full of delicious crunchy nut clusters, real sliced almonds and whole grain flakes.

Cheerios Giveaway

I have a new giveaway for all of my Blog followers! I’m really happy about this one because just about everyone can benefit from getting free food, right? Thanks to General Mills, Cheerios, and MyBlogSpark I was able to review the new style of Cheerios packaging for their cereal and share a gift pack with one of you.

I haven’t seen the new style of Cheerios packaging in stores yet, and seeing something new is always fun. Although I can’t personally eat the Cheerios, my family was very happy to get eat it. The new packaging makes it easier to store the cereal in the pantry, and if you shop at Sam’s Club, Costco or BJ’s you’ll see this in the store soon.

What I really like about the new type of packaging for Cheerios is that it helps the environment. As stated by General Mills, “By reducing the amount of air in each individual bag, these enhanced containers fit 10% more cereal than before and use less packaging. While each box contains more cereal, packaging material has been reduced by over 200,000 lbs, saving 1,000 trees and taking 130 Cheerios trucks of the road, decreasing CO2 emissions.”

My Thoughts

Just A Minute is a book that can be read in pieces or all at once (if you have the time). I prefer to read books like this one story (or chapter) at a time to fully digest what I just read and really think about the story.

All of the stories included in this book are uplifting and really help feed the soul. Each one is memorable and will make you think about all of the opportunities that you have to help make a positive impact on a child’s life. Perhaps it will even make you think about the people who made a change in your life and write it down to share with others. If you aren’t so inclined, it will at least leave you thinking and make you feel good after reading the stories.

Publix was my favorite grocery store when I lived in Florida. I grew up with it and almost always shopped there for groceries. In college, I often went in for their Publix subs for lunch or dinner. Oh how I miss being able to eat those! Too bad they don’t have gluten-free options. Anyways, after I moved to Alabama, I really couldn’t shop there anymore because the closest one was over an hour away. Not long ago a new store opened up that is only about half an hour away (which is sadly, the average time to get anywhere worth going where I live).

Since I have Celiac Disease, it is really hard for me to eat any fast food, so I for one am completely on board with Publix’s “Best Meals Happen at Home” event. Cooking at home is so much healthier and usually much cheaper than eating fast food, so why do the fast food thing at all?

Cheerios Cheer Giveaway

Cheerios were one of my favorite cereals to eat as a kid. I know it is a staple for many families, and sometimes is one of the only “breakfast” type foods some kids will eat. Cascade Complete Review and Sample Giveaway

Hate washing gross dishes with food that has been stuck on them for 24 hrs? Well, the new Cascade Complete could help with that problem when it comes to cleaning those dishes.

I was a little bit iffy if it could really do what it said. So, I took the 24 hour challenge to bake something that would normally require time and a lot of effort to clean. I baked a gluten-free blueberry cobbler and let it sit out for 24 hours. I didn’t even pre-soak it or rinse it. I put in a normal load of dishes in the dishwasher and then added in the Cascade Complete. Once the load was finished washing, I took it out and everything was clean, including the dish used for the blueberry cobbler! I was quite surprised (and glad).
