Love Colors by Pamala Oslie

Love Colors by Pamala Oslie is a fascinating book about auras and how certain colors work better in relationships than other colors. This book includes the aura colors quiz to determine which color(s) you are, and how to use that information in your life, especially with your relationships with other people.

Book Description

A New Approach to Love, Relationships, and Auras

Whether you’re seeking a new romantic relationship or hoping to improve an existing one, knowing your own qualities and desires is the first step. Love Colors offers a fresh, powerful approach to better understand yourself and then create your ideal partnership. In her earlier book, Life Colors, psychic consultant Pamala Oslie explained that auras — the field of energy that surrounds each of us — contain important clues to our personalities and reveal the ways we relate to the world. In this book, she takes that understanding of auras one step further to help you find — and keep — your perfect mate.

In Love Colors, you’ll discover:
• your personal love colors through a detailed personality quiz
• the love colors you’re most compatible with
• tips for finding, recognizing, and attracting your ideal partner
• ways to move past your fears and open yourself up to love
• advice on maintaining balance and harmony in your relationship

With Pamala’s insights and advice, you’ll gain invaluable self-knowledge and have new tools to create fulfilling, lasting love. ” – Love Colors

My Thoughts
Love Colors takes Pamala Oslie’s first book about auras, Life Colors to the next level. I thoroughly enjoyed reading both of these books, so I do highly suggest reading both of them. One doesn’t really need to be read before the other to understand auras and to figure out your color though, but I would suggest Life Colors first and then Love Colors if you do want to read both.

The aura colors quiz included in the book helps you to determine which colors are most like you. If you find that a few could be like you, read the descriptions about those aura colors and see which one resonates most with you. I found that three worked for me, but most people just have one or two. For fun I used the test with my Mom, and the color I thought she was is indeed her aura color. She found it fun and grabbed the book from me to read next.

Love Colors not only helps you to easily determine your aura color, but it gives you the tools needed to see for yourself if the person on your next date is a match for your aura color or not. If the person isn’t a match, it doesn’t mean that it won’t necessarily work, but it is likely to be quite a bit harder. If you are looking for a match, the author also lists places where you could find your aura love match.

I find the subject of auras to be fascinating, and this book really helps teach anyone interested in the subject about auras in an easy to read and understand fashion. I highly recommend it for everyone.

Game of Thrones – Season 2

Have you been watching Season 2 of Game of Thrones on HBO? I’ve seen all three of the episodes that have aired so far, and have been enjoying seeing one of my favorite series brought to screen again. I really like it on HBO because the author of the books, George R. R.  Martin also works on the HBO series, so the story doesn’t stray very far from what he intended for the series.

Season 2 is off to a good start, but it feels like things are moving along rather quickly which leaves me to think that maybe parts of the third book will maybe be in this season too. I’m not really sure how it is going to go with that, but only 10 episodes per season isn’t really enough in my opinion. Season 3 is also going to have only 10 episodes.

I used to do episode recaps on True Blood, which airs for the 5th season in June. I’m thinking about maybe doing that again. What do you think? Should I also do it for Game of Thrones? Let me know and I can start doing some Blogs on more TV shows such as those again.

Kate Moss: The Making of an Icon by Christian Salmon

Kate Moss: The Making of an Icon by Christian Salmon is a beautiful “coffee table” type art/fashion book about one of the world’s most famous models.

Book Description
Years after her discovery at age fourteen at New York City’s John F. Kennedy Airport and her quick ascent to the top of the supermodeling world and choice luxury-brand figurehead, Kate Moss represents an unusual success story: that of a middle-class teenager who became one of the best-paid models in the world with no apparent effort. Hers is a story of endless reinvention: more than twenty years later, despite tabloid scandals, drug use, rehab, and tumultuous high-profile romances, Kate Moss appears before us as a fresh creation each time, an ideal subject able to adapt to any circumstance, recast herself ceaselessly through self-staging and self-narration, and make the world fall in love with her over and over again.

In Kate Moss: The Making of an Icon, Christian Salmon’s insightful text, accompanied by more than sixty gorgeous images, explores this phenomenon—the story of an icon, a muse, a legend, an enigma—and how our culture has created the collective Kate Moss myth.” – Kate Moss: The Making of an Icon

My Thoughts
Kate Moss: The Making of an Icon is written about one of the most famous models in the world, but does it really make it a book worthy of such a top model? I don’t really think so. The information about Kate, the fashion shows, and culture at the time during her career is interesting, but I don’t really think it covered her as well as the author could have done showing how she was made into an “icon.”

The book itself wasn’t what I expected. I thought it would have had more content about Kate Moss, but instead a large amount of the focus of the book seemed to be on the world at the time of career the author was focusing on in each point. Also, the photos of Kate Moss weren’t as many as I expected and not anything that you could probably find doing a Google image search for free. Actually, you could probably find better images doing that.

Overall, it is a pretty book and would be a good addition for someone who collects fashion and model books. It would be an attractive book on a bedside table or coffee table for decoration or for friends and family to read while visiting.

The Practicing Mind by Thomas M. Sterner

The Practicing Mind by Thomas M. Sterner is a great resource for helping anyone to re-learn how to better focus your mind to learn any new skill that you want to know how to do better. The key to this is remembering how to be present in the process, and appreciate the process instead of just wanting to reach the end goal you set for yourself.

Book Description
Master any skill or challenge by learning to love the process

In those times when we want to acquire a new skill or face a formidable challenge we hope to overcome, what we need most are patience, focus, and discipline, traits that seem elusive or difficult to maintain. In this enticing and practical book, Thomas Sterner demonstrates how to learn skills for any aspect of life, from golfing to business to parenting, by learning to love the process.

Early life is all about trial-and-error practice. If we had given up in the face of failure, repetition, and difficulty, we would never have learned to walk or tie our shoes. So why, as adults, do we often give up on a goal when at first we don’t succeed? Modern life’s technological speed, habitual multitasking, and promises of instant gratification don’t help. But in his study of how we learn (prompted by his pursuit of disciplines such as music and golf), Sterner has found that we have also forgotten the principles of practice — the process of picking a goal and applying steady effort to reach it. The methods Sterner teaches show that practice done properly isn’t drudgery on the way to mastery but a fulfilling process in and of itself, one that builds discipline and clarity.

By focusing on “process, not product,” you’ll learn to live in each moment, where you’ll find calmness and equanimity. This book will transform a sense of futility around learning something challenging into an attitude of pleasure and willingness.” – The Practicing Mind

My Thoughts
The Practicing Mind gives great examples for showing how slowing down and appreciating the process of something is so important when learning how to do something.

The easiest example to relate to that is mentioned in the book is driving. Think about it, when we learned how to drive, we were fully aware of everything going on and really focusing on all of the tasks that go with it. However, now that we have been driving for a long time, we do other things while driving, such as listening to the radio, singing to the radio, having a conversation, etc. We just drive and don’t really focus on all of the little things that go with driving. The author suggested to not do anything but drive the next time we had to drive, and focus on driving. I tried it, and it isn’t easy. My mind wandered and I really wanted to turn on my iPod. It proved the point very quickly though.

The stories and tips included on staying in the present moment and really focused are memorable enough to help with actually doing this for yourself. I found the book to be incredibly valuable and something that everyone could benefit from.

Growing Up Psychic by Chip Coffey

Growing Up Psychic by Chip Coffey is a helpful book for kids and adults to read that either are psychic, think they might be, or know of a family member or friend that is going through the process of growing up as a psychic.

Book Description
Internationally recognized psychic and star of A&E’s hit show Psychic Kids: Children of the Paranormal, Chip Coffey shares his personal story of discovering his gift at a young age and offers valuable advice for nurturing and embracing psychic ability.

NO one knows more about psychic kids than Chip Coffey, and no expert on psychic kids is better known throughout the world. These kids are widely misunderstood, misjudged, and misdiagnosed. In Growing Up Psychic, Chip Coffey offers indispensable information for anyone who interacts with these extraordinary youngsters—parents, educators, medical professionals, mental health clinicians, members of the clergy, paranormal investigators—and adults who faced the challenges of growing up psychic.

In Growing Up Psychic, drawing on his firsthand experience and the true stories of kids he has worked with and helped, Chip Coffey shows you how to:

• Determine if a child is really psychic—as opposed to simply imaginative or
seeking attention
• Identify the different kinds of psychic abilities kids (and adults) might have
• Gain control over when and how psychic information is received
• Safely connect with others in the psychic community
• Deal with skeptics and disbelievers” – Growing Up Psychic

My Thoughts
Growing Up Psychic is one of the best books I’ve read that helps kids and adults deal with the struggles of being a psychic. Chip Coffey explains his story on growing up as a psychic kid, which takes courage for people to do. It is very rarely an “easy” road for anyone to take, but with help from others like Chip, it makes it at least a little bit easier.

Coffey’s experience on the TV show “Psychic Kids: Children of the Paranormal” is referenced often, as are the stories that the children featured on the show shared. Sure, there are many paranormal shows on TV now, but that doesn’t honestly make it that much easier for kids to tell their friends (or even their family) about their abilities now, let alone on a TV show. It is also nice to hear updates on the kids featured, and how they are doing better now.

I honestly wish that this book was around when I was growing up. It would have saved both me and my parents with some issues I was going through with the paranormal. If any kid or parent thinks that their kid might be going through something related to the paranormal, please get this book, it will help more than you can imagine. I highly recommend it.

Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll and Illustrated by Camille Rose Garcia

Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll and Illustrated by Camille Rose Garcia is a classic tale that should really be on everyone’s bookshelf. This is a timeless story that can be appreciated by all generations, and this is a beautiful gift edition that people of all ages will enjoy.

Book Description
“Since its publication in 1865, Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland has delighted the world with a wildly imaginative and unforgettable journey, inspiring children of all ages to suspend disbelief and follow Alice into her fantasy worlds. This new gift edition presents Carroll's tale fully unabridged with a unique visual interpretation by renowned artist Camille Rose Garcia.” – Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland

My Thoughts
Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland is one of my favorite stories from childhood. As an adult, I hadn’t read the story again, until this book touched my hands. It is even better reading it as an adult because I found so much more in the story than when I was a kid. I appreciate literature more now and Lewis Carroll is one of the best. If I had kids, I’d read this to them before bed or naptime.

The illustrator for this special edition of the book does a truly amazing job with the artwork for the story. Camille Rose Garcia is exceptionally talented, and I really hope that she illustrates more books like this in the future. Her artwork is edgy and gothic, which gives this children’s tale a more grownup or current vibe than when it was written.

I absolutely loved this edition of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and highly recommend this as a book for everyone to get. It would also make an excellent gift for someone, especially if they love this story and the characters in it.

Miley Cyrus is on the Gluten Free Diet too!

Miley Cyrus just came out publicly about her health issue with gluten and lactose intolerance. I’m not sure if she has Celiac Disease, too (I haven’t found anywhere that she said she is), but being on a gluten-free diet for those that are intolerant for it is a fabulous idea! It can really wreck your digestive system, and finally feeling better once you are gluten-free is the best feeling.

I guess she was looking skinnier than normal and people were slamming her saying she has an eating disorder. Yesterday Miley tweeted “For everyone calling me anorexic I have a gluten and lactose allergy. It’s not about weight it’s about health. Gluten is crappp anyway.”

She isn’t one to standby while people are saying things about her, and hopefully she did get health tests done to explain why she is so thin lately. I’m sure some PR people could have given her an idea to claim this was why, as some people have said online, but I honestly don’t think that this was the case.

Some people with a gluten allergy lose weight and some gain weight. I gained weight, though to be honest, I wish I was in the group that lost a lot of weight! It is serious either way though, and I hope that she stays gluten and lactose free now that she knows what is causing her health issues.

Good luck to you Miley!

The Sexy Vegan Cookbook by Brian L. Patton

The Sexy Vegan Cookbook by Brian L. Patton is a new way to look at cooking Vegan foods. It isn’t preachy, so if you don’t want to fully go Vegan that is okay.

Book Description
Not Yo Mama’s Vegan Cookbook

Are you craving a way to eat killer food without killing yourself, animals, or the planet? Is your brain bloated from watching cooking shows that present recipes you’re never, ever going to make? Have you been searching for a way to prove to your friends that vegan food can be just as delicious, hearty, and satisfying as the meaty meals they’re accustomed to? Then this is the book for you.

Of his journey from watching food porn on his parents’ couch to cooking in Hollywood kitchens to becoming vegan, author Brian Patton writes:

My roommate said he didn’t know what made me a bigger loser: that I was painstakingly preserving episodes of 30 Minute Meals or that I was trying to conceal their existence by labeling them Star Trek....Once I discovered that I could not only survive but thrive without taking the life of another being, I was sold. I was a vegan. For good.

And that’s how an “ordinary dude” became the Sexy Vegan and started creating “extraordinary food” with a decidedly real-meal appeal. On every page, Brian proves that seriously good food needn’t be too serious.” – The Sexy Vegan Cookbook

My Thoughts
The Sexy Vegan Cookbook is written with a sense of humor and a dash of do-gooder veganism thrown into the blender to make a unique cookbook. Going Vegan isn’t for everyone, but everyone can eat this way occasionally if they choose, and this is a good cookbook to get you started on a healthier lifestyle.

This is not a gluten-free cookbook. I have Celiac Disease, and I knew it wasn’t gluten-free going into the book. Most cookbooks aren’t and they don’t even acknowledge it. This one uses a lot of wheat gluten, which made me unable to try out the recipes. I did try out a few though, and I actually quite liked the following: Basil Pesto, Cashew Ricotta, and Tater Skinz. I already knew how to make Basil Pesto and baked French fries though.

There weren’t a very large amount of recipes I would want to try out (even if I could eat them). They weren’t really very original and the photos showcased the author as much as the food. I think this guy thinks he is Adam on the show Man vs. Food.

Although it is a humorous cookbook, it sometimes seems forced and lacking originally. Sometimes too much is too much, if you get what I mean. Also, he sometimes writes like those reading his cookbook are mentally inept. Maybe that is meant to be humorous? Oh well.

If you are a fan of his YouTube channel, I’m sure you’ll love this cookbook like no other book about Vegan cooking on your bookshelf. However, if you want a really good book that will help you with learning about being Vegan and also learn how to cook really good meals, I’d suggest a different book. I’m not going to say it is a terrible cookbook, but it isn’t an excellent one either. If you happen to see it, look it over, and if you like his sense of humor and some of the meals or recipes, go for it. If not, move on to the next cookbook.

The Great Animal Orchestra by Bernie Krause

The Great Animal Orchestra by Bernie Krause gives us a new look at all of the sounds that nature makes and surrounds us with – if we would only stop and listen. This book will take you on a journey with sounds in nature that even though you can’t hear through the pages, does make you appreciate it.

Book Description
Musician and naturalist Bernie Krause is one of the world's leading experts in natural sound, and he's spent his life discovering and recording nature's rich chorus. Searching far beyond our modern world's honking horns and buzzing machinery, he has sought out the truly wild places that remain, where natural soundscapes exist virtually unchanged from when the earliest humans first inhabited the earth.

Krause shares fascinating insight into how deeply animals rely on their aural habitat to survive and the damaging effects of extraneous noise on the delicate balance between predator and prey. But natural soundscapes aren't vital only to the animal kingdom; Krause explores how the myriad voices and rhythms of the natural world formed a basis from which our own musical expression emerged.

From snapping shrimp, popping viruses, and the songs of humpback whales-whose voices, if unimpeded, could circle the earth in hours-to cracking glaciers, bubbling streams, and the roar of intense storms; from melody-singing birds to the organ-like drone of wind blowing over reeds, the sounds Krause has experienced and describes are like no others. And from recording jaguars at night in the Amazon rain forest to encountering mountain gorillas in Africa's Virunga Mountains, Krause offers an intense and intensely personal narrative of the planet's deep and connected natural sounds and rhythm.

The Great Animal Orchestra is the story of one man's pursuit of natural music in its purest form, and an impassioned case for the conservation of one of our most overlooked natural resources-the music of the wild. ” – The Great Animal Orchestra

My Thoughts
The Great Animal Orchestra is an interesting book. Going outside into the forest or even on a walk around your neighborhood, you hear tons of sounds and music that the animals provide for us. However, most of the time, we don’t hear it. Either we’re listening to an MP3 player, or just not paying attention. This book makes you want to start paying attention and listening to nature, and for that I really appreciate this book.

Although we can’t hear any of the cool sounds of animals and nature that the author describes throughout the text, he does a fantastic job narrating his travels and things he has heard to make us feel like we’re there, too.

I found this book to be incredibly thought provoking, and really makes me want to take a stand help with conservationism with nature, too. I hate seeing wildlife destroyed and ruining the natural state that was there because we humans came in to try and fix what didn’t need to be changed. I recommend this book for everyone who also wants to save nature and also for those who appreciate music in its purest form.

* Thank you to the publisher of The Great Animal Orchestra, Little, Brown and Company, for providing me with a copy of this book for review. All opinions expressed are my own.

Happy Easter!

For everyone that celebrates Easter, I hope everyone is having a very good Easter Sunday.

Mine is a bit relaxing this year, which is a nice change. We’re just having a small family dinner and I’m catching up on some studying and book reviews. I’m also really looking forward to the new episode of Game of Thrones that is on tonight. I’m up to the fifth book in the series, so seeing the things that took place in the second book on this season is fun, but sometimes pretty sad knowing who is going to die in future seasons.

How are you celebrating Easter this year? Doing any egg hunts for the kids? Sunrise Mass? Family dinner, too?

The Coming Revolution by Dr. Richard G. Lee

The Coming Revolution by Dr. Richard G. Lee is a book that embraces the Tea Party movement and may not be for everyone, actually, it isn’t. Some people may love this book and others may hate it, but regardless of if you hate it or love it, it will make you think.

Book Description
“We are living in a time of monumental change.

Countless numbers of ordinary people, men and women from all walks of life, are joining forces to challenge the direction our national leaders are now taking us. Washington’s idea of change has failed, and most Americans are now frustrated, disappointed, and angry. The result is a long list of offenses, both perceived and real, that can easily set off a chain reaction that quickly becomes irreversible. And in the right environment, the situation can be explosive.

It is easy to see that many of the identical social and religious provocations that spurred the colonists toward the First American Revolution are present today, inspiring a new generation to seek what the Founders called “a new birth of freedom.” Signs are pointing to the fact that we are now standing on the threshold of a new American revolution, not with muskets and cannon balls this time but a revolution conscience, morality, and honor, dedicated to responsible social, moral, and political reforms, demanding change from the socialistic direction our political, judicial, and intellectual leaders have been taking us.

The Coming Revolution draws from the wellspring of America’s powerful past to reveal a nation of people who, under the hand of Divine Providence, will once again fight and win the coming battle for personal and national freedom.” – The Coming Revolution

My Thoughts
The Coming Revolution is a book written by a very well educated man. However, reading through it I found too many generalizations and misconceptions of even recent events to be able to fully like the book.

The quote that bothered me most was "Despite the ongoing War on Terror and the tragic events of September, 11, 2001, college students refused to condemn the actions of the 9/11 terrorist." There is no citation for it, so basically, I just see it as a statement that he said and he believes. As someone who was a college student when 9/11 happened, and as one again now, I completely disagree with that statement.

Much of the book is interesting, and is easily read. However, if you don’t fully agree with the ideas and concepts of the world according to Lee, you are not likely to enjoy reading this book.

The Misleading Mind by Karuna Cayton

The Misleading Mind by Karuna Cayton is a book to help us change the way we think about our problems. We all have problems, but how we deal with them and think about them greatly affects our well-being. Are you ready to change your misleading mind with the help of this book?

Book Description
Buddhism asserts that we each have the potential to free ourselves from the prison of our problems. As practiced for more than twenty-six hundred years, the process involves working with, rather than against, our depression, anxiety, and compulsions. We do this by recognizing the habitual ways our minds perceive and react — the way they mislead. The lively exercises and inspiring real-world examples Cayton provides can help you transform intractable problems and neutralize suffering by cultivating a radically liberating self-understanding.” – The Misleading Mind

My Thoughts
The Misleading Mind is a very easy to read book about a topic that is challenging to understand and really “get.” If you are open to learning about Buddhism and working on your mental health, it is an invaluable resource to help you change your life. Becoming a Buddhist is not something you have to do with this book. You can be any religion and still benefit from the resources in this book.

The key to the material is being open and to actually try out the techniques offered in the book. If you read it at a steady pace and think about the material as you read it, and also after you read it, you’ll get more out of it than just reading it once through and not trying any of the techniques out for yourself. I often read books in full the first time, and then go back and re-read it really absorbing the information in it. I did that with this book, and I am really amazed by how helpful it is with changing my belief system about “problems.”

Overall, I found the techniques and information in the book helpful and really made me challenge my thinking. I highly recommend it.

Little Red Riding Hood by The Brothers Grimm and Illustrated by Daniel Egneus

Little Red Riding Hood by The Brothers Grimm and Illustrated by Daniel Egneus is an artistic delight to the story you knew growing up. Fans of the classic tale and those who love art will treasure this special edition of the fairy tale.

Book Description
Originating in seventeenth-century French folklore, the story of Little Red Riding Hood has long been one of the world's most memorable tales of childhood, with its haunting journey into the dark woods, tumultuous encounter with the big, bad wolf, and heroic rescue. This new gift edition presents the Brothers Grimm version of the tale, fully unabridged with a visionary interpretation by renowned artist Daniel Egnéus that captures both its horror and its romance.” – Little Red Riding Hood

My Thoughts
Little Red Riding Hood is a story that most of us grew up with in childhood, and have seen new takes on it lately in the movie “Red Riding Hood” and on the hit ABC TV show “Once Upon A Time.” Although I do enjoy new versions of it, there is much to be said about the Brothers Grimm version, too.

This special edition of the tale is visually beautiful and tells the tale like I remember it originally being. The artwork included throughout the book is gorgeous, and for everyone that loves this tale, it is sure to be a treasured book. I also think that it would make an amazing gift to someone who also likes the tale, and even for those younger children who may not have heard the tale before. Kids that own this book will definitely have one of the cooler fairy tale books on their bookshelf. I highly recommend it.

Body Wrap Shapewear Review – Tank-Tastic!

Even with the best intentions of dieting and exercising, women often feel that they need a little bit of extra help with smoothing out and shaping up. I often wear a shapewear camisole underneath my clothing, and I was really excited to try out the one from Body Wrap Shapewear called “Tank-Tastic.”

  • Adjustable straps for a perfect fit
  • Underwire support
  • Front panel (tummy control) smoothes and flattens the tummy while fabric tension eliminates bulges
  • Product designed with no seams
  • 100% invisible under clothing
  • 75% Polyamide 25% Elastane
  • Machine washable

Body Wrap Shapewear Tank-Tastic Review
The Tank-Tastic shapewear is made with fabric that is very stretchy, but really does slim. When I took it out of the package, I thought there was no way it would fit, it was so small! It did though, and when wearing it, I was pleasantly surprised with the results.

It was very snug and the camisole I tried didn’t have underwire, but it still worked out great. Ladies, you know what I mean by that. I loved the smoothing and slimming results from it, and it never rode up during the day. Some shapewear is known for that, so I was really glad that this one didn’t do that with me.

The only thing I didn’t like was the smell it had after taking it out of the package. I had to wash it twice before I could wear it, so I suggest doing that as well. It isn’t a negative to the product though, just a word of advice.

If you also wear body shapewear, I definitely recommend Body Wrap Shapewear for your slimming and smoothing. It worked very well for me, and I highly recommend it.

Check out and follow Body Wrap Shapewear on Facebook and Twitter.

Life Colors: What the Colors in Your Aura Reveal - by Pamala Oslie

Life Colors: What the Colors in Your Aura Reveal by Pamala Oslie is an in-depth look at all of the aura colors that we could have. If you want to find out which one(s) are your life colors, take the test and read the corresponding information about your top matches – you’ll be surprised by what you find out about yourself!

Book Description
A colorful array of energy emanates from all beings. Pamala Oslie offers a guide to these aura colors and how they correspond to the four main personality types. The subject of auras has been around for years, but it has seldom been explained in such an accessible, believable way.

There are four overall types of personalities: Physical (red, orange, magenta, yellow), Mental (tan, green), Emotional (blue, violet, lavender, crystal, indigo), and Combination (a combination of two of the colors). There are also 12 combination colors described in the book. Life Colors offers a questionnaire to determine your own color and tips to help readers assess the colors in others. Sections describe relationships with various color combinations and provide suggestions for relating to your children, spouse, friends, and coworkers based on their color.

Unlike astrology and many typing systems, this system allows for change. Our colors and auras evolve over time. With celebrity examples, and ways to cultivate new aura colors, this insightful guide can lead to greater self-understanding.” – Life Colors

My Thoughts
Life Colors is one of the best books I have had the pleasure of reading about auras. When I was much younger, I was able to see these faintly, but I didn’t know what they were – or that most people can’t just automatically see this too. As I got older and grew up, I stopped seeing them, but have remained fascinated with them. This book made me want to learn more about them, and try to see them again, too.

Pamala Oslie includes quizzes on each of the life colors that we can have (not labeled) so we can determine which one(s) we relate to more. I took the quizzes on the aura colors and found that I am a Violet/Crystal with Indigo. Most people have one or sometimes a combination of colors, but I had large numbers on each of those three. To be sure that this was right, I read about them all and quite honestly, they each sound a lot like me.

All of the life colors described are so interesting, and reading through each one I could pick out certain people I know as having each of these colors. The relationship section was also really helpful for people to see if their partner is a good match for them as far as their life colors go.

Overall, this is an excellent book about auras. If you have ever wanted to learn about them, figure out which life colors are in your aura, or learn how to see them, this is the book to read. I highly recommend it.

Game of Thrones Day

I love the Game of Thrones series. I started watching the series on HBO last year and was hooked. Then I bought the books, and I’m up to the fourth one (they are about 1,000 pages each). I like them both, but I prefer the series on HBO. Seeing it all come to life is just amazing. They did an excellent job with it all.

Today is the day Season 2 starts, and HBO has announced today “Game of Thrones Day” – pretty cool, huh?

Haven’t seen anything about the series yet? Watch some trailers, on the HBO Game of Thrones website. If you have HBO, you can sign up for HBO GO and watch all of Season 1 online.

“Winter is Coming” and so is Season 2, I can’t wait!
