The Prophecy Answer Book by David Jeremiah

The Prophecy Answer Book by David Jeremiah is a current book about prophecies that were written over 2,000 years ago. It is addressed in a question and answer format and gives readers answers to these questions about prophecies that they have when reading the Bible.

Book Description
“For anyone curious about prophecy and the signs of the end times, this book links the pieces of the prophecy puzzle in plain, simple language. There are 1,000 prophecies in the Bible so it’s natural to wonder, have any prophecies been fulfilled? Do they really explain the future? Can we really know what will happen at the end of time? In succinct and clear answers to most frequently asked questions, Dr. Jeremiah decodes and clarifies prophecy for the average person. He explains in simple lay terms what could otherwise be mysterious and even frightening, allowing readers to gain a balanced and assuring perspective of the significance of prophetic events to their personal lives as believers in Christ. He also helps readers understand how prophecy is directly related to world events today.” – The Prophecy Answer Book

My Thoughts
Prophecies and even the bible aren’t my usual topics of choice. I consider myself a spiritual person, not necessarily “religious” though. I have however read the Bible. I used to go to Catholic Mass every Sunday and even went to Sunday school after Mass.

I’ll let you in on a little secret about this: I was the annoying kid who questioned everything. The nuns and volunteers teaching probably hated me, but I had questions (as most kids do, I think), and usually never really got any substantial answers except something like “well it just happened like this because it was written in the Bible this way.” That doesn’t really “explain” anything to a kid more than the “because I said so” line.

So, putting my personal thoughts, questions, and beliefs aside, I think that The Prophecy Answer Book actually did answer questions about prophecies in the Bible. I especially found the “Current Events” section interesting because it showed examples of things that are happening right now that can be construed as being prophesized about. David Jeremiah also does a great job explaining The Rapture, The Tribulation, The Antichrist, and more.

I wish that I had this book when I was attending Sunday school classes. David Jeremiah makes these prophecies understandable, and isn’t too preachy about it. It is also written to easily understand for those who have questions. Not necessarily for “all ages” but definitely for those who are old enough to ask such questions. I recommend The Prophecy Answer Book for all of those who have questions about these prophecies in the bible.
