My Real Age

While watching Oprah Winfrey today, Dr. Oz was on dishing out more medical advice for us all to take in. I’ve read one of his books and even did the Real Age thing before years ago. I don’t remember what that number was. I probably didn’t answer everything honestly either though.

So, I signed up and took the FREE Real Age test again. This time being totally truthful and putting in everything I knew honestly. It was pretty laggy but that is probably because Oprah’s show just aired mentioning the website.

Waiting to see my “Real Age” was scary. I know I need to work on things to be healthier. A few times I thought of just exiting out of Firefox and not finishing it. However, I decided it is better to know.

Whew! I’m actually slightly younger than my real age. That is surprising. I’m thankful for that but I would like to improve that age to be even younger.

I really do want to lose weight, eat healthier and be healthier in general. I’m lucky that I don’t have high blood pressure, diabetes or high cholesterol – and I want to keep it that way.

My goal is to lose 10 lbs before my birthday this year (August 17th). I can so do it. I really just have to be motivated, focused and in control of what I eat (that is harder than it sounds for me and all emotional eaters – if you are one, you know what I mean here).

I’ll blog about my progress or lack thereof. It’ll help keep me honest. I also invite everyone who is interested to join me in taking their Real Age and posting it. If you also have something you want to work on to make your Real Age lower, or just be more healthy in general too join me on Spark People (link is in the column to the right) or on Real Age – both are free.

I'm older...
Bah.
I said I was 20, since you have to be 20 to use it. It says I'm 22.8

We calculated your body mass index (BMI) to be 17.3.
Because your weight is less than that recommended for your height, your RealAge is older. However, we can’t tell if your thinness is your body’s natural state or the result of illness or excessive exercise or dieting.

Balls.

I'd be afraid of what mine would say. I don't necessarily eat right all the time either nor do I really exercise. Good luck with your goal!

I am trying to lose more than 10 pounds. I want to get to 175, which to a lot of people is overweight, but I am 5'10" and have a large frame and big boobs (LOL), and I weighed that in high school and was happy with how i looked!

Okay I am 4 years OLDER, AGHHHH!! But I bought a Rated R movie today and she asked if I was over 17?!!

I'm trying to lose in total more than 10 lbs, but short-term goal is 10 lbs which is reasonable in 2 months I think. :)

Lee, I think since you are underage it will be a lil off. The BMI thing is right though.

Good Luck with your goal of losing 10lbs!!

I always set 5lb. increments, 10lbs. is hard for me:)
