Who doesn’t need a little extra dose of self confidence in their lives? I know I certainly do, and Self Confidence by Paul McGee seemed like just the book to do just that.

My Thoughts
I was really never one of those people who glowed with self confidence. Not to say that I didn’t have any, I did and still do. I just wasn’t one of those people who have way too much or anything. I’m more the type who fears public speaking, talking to random people without reason, and honestly miss out on probably a lot of things because of it.
Self Confidence by Paul McGee showed me that a small change, even just 10% can make a huge difference (over time) in my life. So, I actively decided I needed and wanted to change my confidence.
As suggested, I tried to stop thinking negatively about myself. Growing up in this era with such high peer pressure and media pressure, it is hard to have good self esteem. I started thinking “Sheri, you look good in ____” and “Sheri, you CAN change ____” instead of the “Ugh I hate how this looks” or “I can’t change _____ about myself.”
I’m just starting this self confidence journey out, so I can’t tell you how much it has changed my life yet. However, I can tell you that it feels great! Letting go of the negative thinking about myself really does feel good. If you suffer from this too, I really suggest changing that aspect about yourself, it helps much more than I can say.
I liked the section in the book about finding confidence with the help of others, and dealing with those who try to crush it. I’ve never been one to be talked down to - I just wasn’t raised to let that happen to me. So, when someone is purposefully rude or talks down to me, you better believe I snap right back at them, and then usually try not to have that person in my life anymore if it doesn’t stop. Who needs toxic relationships anyways?
Overall, I enjoyed reading Self Confidence by Paul McGee. It was a great booster to my self confidence. Even though I didn’t need or use all of the tools provided in the book, what I have been using has been working great. I highly suggest this for someone you may know who needs a boost of self confidence, or even yourself if you do too.
