As I was going through my stack of magazines the other day, I came across a little half page article in Lucky on acid wash jeans. Yes, those horrible nightmare of jeans from the 80s. The article says that they also are called “mineral wash” these days. Whatever, I’m going to still call them “acid wash.” I also am not taking their advice on this fashion “comeback.” I never wore them in the 80s, and I will not wear them now. A fashion mistake like this should never be resurrected. What were they thinking? What do you think of this trend?

It's interesting, I shopping for new jeans before Christmas. The lady there was insisting that I needed MUCH tighter jeans, way beyond what I was comfortable in or wearing in public. Literally, the backs of the jeans had a ton of creases that made my poor legs look like sausages in casings.
She told me this made me look thinner ... but it horrified me.
I guess what I'm saying is that I worry that we'll also see the rise of TIGHT acid wash. Bad.
LOL! I should have found a picture with someone wearing acid wash jeans and a tie-dye shirt. That would be funny stuff right there.
Paula, I wouldn't have bought those jeans either! What was that sales lady thinking?!?
Nope, won't be wearing these either. I DID wear them in the 80s. Looking back, I am not crazy about any fashion from the 80s. I am definitely not wearing those tight legged jeans either!
Oh the 80's were truly a sad, sad time for clothes! I remember these & bought some but could not bring myself to wear them! Kept thinking.."The magazines SAY they are great!But..."

I think skinny jeans are cute, but not with acid wash.
I like my jeans one flat color.
