While letting my mind wander aimlessly today I came to question something about the Twilight series. Perhaps all vampire stories even. If blood gets vampires all hot and bothered to want to kill… why doesn’t the fact that girls have their period matter? For instance, in New Moon Jasper wants to kill Bella after she slices her finger with a paper cut. Now surely Bella (and oh 99% of the other girls at their high school) has had her period. So, why doesn’t that bother them?
Just a question. Laugh if you must but really, think about it.

Ok, so I might be the only person to actually try to answer this without gagging, but here goes...a woman's period does not consist of "fresh" blood, but is rather "dead" unused uterine lining...

I was going to say the same thing as the Garver Family. I wouldn't imagine that period blood smells the same to them as regular blood--just sayin'....
